Car Insurance covers you against any loss or damage caused to your car from the following:

Third Party Car Insurance Policy

It is mandatory to insure your car with the third party insurance; it includes death or injury to a third party and damage to third party property. Liability in the case of death or injury is unlimited.

It is mandatory to acquire the Third Party Insurance; it covers loss to the insured's vehicle in addition to the Third Party insurance.

NCB (No Claim Bonus)

When Insured doesn't make any claim in the earlier year then he is entitled to a bonus/discount while renewing his insurance given on the own damage component of the premium.

NCB Slabs

If you don't make claim in the first year, you are entitled to 20% discount (NCB), subsequently in the second year if you don't register any claim you will get 25% NCB, 35% in the third year, 45% in the fourth year exceeding to 50% in the fifth year for not registering claims.
